Libertarians - absent core
Oh good, a place to point out again the absence of any "there" in libertarianism. It is reactive and opportunistic, absent of any core philosophy. Rep. Paul, from the state that gave us Emperor W, doesn't want to be bothered by people telling him what to do, although he seems to have no problem telling everyone else what to do, or more likely, what not to do.

I do think though that anti-malware legislation has to be crafted very carefully else we end up with unwanted side effects. It may be better to use fraud and other such laws rather than turn legislators loose on thjings they, and their staffs (who write the bills), do not understand.
