Services and Processes
I disagree that they are the "same thing"...

Services are when you dont care how it's done and Processes are when you do.

In business, you tend not to care how something is done when it's a commodity and you can cheaply get something anywhere.

When you care about processes it's often a core competitive advantage. Some companies compete on price so I'm not saying that cost cutting isnt something you should care about.

Should companies do both? you bet. do they work well together. yes.
