BAs are definitely complementary to EAs but if we look at a typical SOA life cycle it encompasses various touch points including some non-functional aspects like COE, governance, operational readiness etc,. which may be better understood by EAs. BAs can play a major role in the Service Modelling and Analysis part of SOA lifecycle and the subsequent phases their involvement gradually fades out. So in essence EAs are better positioned to lead the SOA.
