EDA is "next-gen?"
That seems odd to me. Event-driven notions have been around at least as long as SOA. What sort of "x-driven" do we think EAI was? Yes, EAI implementations usually focused at the data level but there also those that were applied at higher levels--e.g. the event represented a business event, not a "new record in the DB" event.
