Business rules and the commandments
Love the commandments. Several seem to me to point towards the use of business rules as a technology:
Thou shalt put thy users first, above all else [Business rules allows users to control the system themselves not just have IT do it for them]
Thou shalt not not outsource mission critical functions [business rules might give you a way to control outsourced processes by controlling the critical decision points]
Thou shalt not condemn departments doing their own IT [As long as they keep the rules that are the corporate DNA in a standard business rules repository that let's them be managed as a corporate asset]
Thou shalt document all thy works [by developing in a declarative, business-friendly syntax like business rules]
Thou shalt not fear change [because your business rules-enabled services can be changed easily and rapidly, especially if they are loosely coupled]
