Morrison misses the boat
"Morrison makes the point that we shouldn't waste our time and resources worrying about individual hacker attacks directed exclusively against your system. The real problems come from mass attacks which target all servers across the globe."

Mass attacks serve mainly as a distraction.

Morrison obviously isn't aware of the reality that some worms are launched with the main purpose to increase the attack-background-noise to cover their real efforts of targeting high value servers from which customer identity data can be compromised. The mass attacks actually are the easiest to fight off...well except for DoS or DDoS.

The real issue is that corporations and smaller businesses are finally waking up to the looming liability crisis that is building up from customers being fed up with having their privacy violated due to faulty IT security policies and implementation.
