Someone is certainly confused
.....What has been really stupid are all the moronic journalists out there still confused with Web services. Many still use the term Web services in its strictest sense [ex. a travel Web site is a Web service].... nothing to do at all with WSDL, SOAP, UDDI, etc. They should be calling them "XML Web services" like Capient, Microsoft, IBM, Sun and others pretty much consistently have since 2001 to avoid confusion. Unless it?s a technical capability following strict industry guidelines such as those published by the WS-I organization, then we are not talking about the world of XML Web services. Should someone rename WS-I to the ?Services Interoperability? organization so people will stop being so darn confused? Almost all data can be exposed as a XML Web service internally or externally using the before-mentioned XML Web service protocol stack to reduce complexity, lower IT costs and attract a greater number of business relationships from different platform environments. Why add confusion to some people's confusion by simply calling these data objects Services? *Rodger ? break ? break* - please come into reality now. Thank you. ?Rich
