Awareness of the value of open source continues to spread horizontally across industries, including financial, telecom, healthcare, media and the software development industry itself. As open source use and mainstream adoption progresses, a natural evolution could be the development of a channel for business-oriented open source projects, but OSA?s mission has always been broader than that.
OSA?s primary mission has been to help companies put open source to work by enabling enterprise integration, certifying quality solutions and promoting cooperation among open source developers.
As an OSA member, Black Duck supports the merger with OW2 as a positive step to help OSA achieve its goals.
