We've seen it already
Remember the recent outcry from the right about "President Obama trying to take control of the internet"? With, I might add, assurances from the left that it's not so. No different really than the left's alarmism at President Bush trying to "personally eavesdrop on every telephone conversation in America", with assurances from the right that it was not so.

To answer your question: probably not, because I don't view the internet as a bastion of freedom to being with. All it is is a big jumble of noise where nothing can be taken at face value.
