Firefox 3.5 should be in alpha, not release mode!
Installing Firefox 3.5 over an existing installation? Well, that's pretty dick-brained! Of course, I've heard that it's (for most people) one of the only ways to get around a problem this new browser has with it's password manager. Specifically, passwords from a previous installation won't transfer over to FF 3.5 unless you install it over whatever you currently have.

Now this kind of stuff happening in a slpha version of a program is one thing. But in a release candidate? How 'bout an official release? UNBELIEVABLE!!! The thought that the Mozilla Foundation would put out a product with such a flaw is disgusting! Especially when their whole selling point is security. If I wanted this type of crap, I'd go back to Internet Explorer!

The guy's I've talked to about this, in any case, are just shaking their heads. They see this as a sign that the Mozilla Foundation is interested more in being the fastest to release something than making sure it actually works. There's no excuse for releasing a Firefox browser with such a critical flaw! HELLO!!! WHAT HAPPENED TO SECURITY & STABILITY!?!?!?
