Again, take it easy with the add-ons ;
trying to run add-ons using the method described by dl@... above can play havoc with Firefox big time. That said, the most essential add-ons do work out of the box or substitutes can be found, so most of us will have little difficulty running the latest 3.5 version. And when the Gold version is released, hopefully next week, add-on developers who are still active will certainly update incompatible add-ons ASAP. So down load it and run it ; it definitely is sweet !

PS : While a Chrome version (currently 3.0.190.2 is, in fact, available for Linux (and Mac) - I'm running it on Ubuntu Jaunty - and is as fast as greased lightning, due to the lack of add-ons (think Adblock plus, NoScript, etc), I don't choose to use it as my main browser. Up Firefox !...
