yeah, it is, but intel can make a play for a market in which it has no presence, cell phones/smart phones, and if it loses a little bit of traction on netbooks to ARM, it's still probably a net gain for intel.

besides, android and other linux distros are already available for ARM. the cell phone market is more lucrative, with higher margins than the netbook market.
