Linux is a little bit of a double edged sword for MS. With Linux, it works
very well with Arm too, leveling the playing filed
for other processors. So, if they make Linux work
very well on netbooks, and help get people used to
Linux, they can then switch to Arm for lower power,
cheaper, longer battery life.
