Open_Source is about sharing.....
Unfortunately, the lie about people who work for
free is incorrect.

People who contribute and create applications do
it because of the passion and the desire because
they want to not a 'have to'......

Plus, the fact the code can be manipulated and
changed without fear of lawsuits and being stuck
with a locked in vendor license abiding by
their will not yours.

People who have these skills are FAR more
desirable than someone who can admin a
Windows server or Exchange server.

Open_Source is about the problem and finding
a solution not just throwing some patch to
cover up an exploit only to open another hole
that is exploited again and again. Sounds
very familiar to Windows methodology where
you blame the customer for all of the viruses,
instead of looking at the root source which
is the Operating Systems creator.

The other myth that Open_Source has no applications
just more lies so the Windows advocates can
spread untruths so they can keep this mess in
place.

Companies who go to a Open_Source route spend
less money on licenses and more money on
the people who can actually fix problems than
relying on some monolithic corporation to
tell them they will have to rebuild or
it was a security exploit 'oops' your
servers are down but we will send you
a patch in a day or so....
