Database Admins get no respect
When its time to do some serious schema changes, they get a gun held to their heads to meet deadlines.

Yet, when those changes are made, the programmers grumble because any slight change to that db schema causes their program logic to 'blow up' and they have to go and fix it to fit the new db changes.
