I have to agree that the electronic election industry
Needs some severe reform, if not the hammer brought down on them. I was ALWAYS suspicious as to why it was not required that this code be made public.

That way, Mr. Joe Q. Public could look at it in depth like the big universities do and say "OH CR*P! This software is so full of holes, it shouldn't be allowed on ANY voting machines period!"

I don't have a problem with these companies making a profit.... but when it comes to the veracity of elections..... their profit comes second in the concerns, if not dead last!

I'm more concerned that the stuff cannot be tampered with (outside of someone standing in the same room with these things, actively changing the results!) and we get the RIGHT person elected.
