Thanks for the Ingres coverage, but I wanted to point out a factual inaccuracy in your post. You state "Ingres offers an implementation of postgresql" This isn't accurate The name "Postgres" was a contraction of Post-Ingres and Ingres actually pre-dates PosgreSQL. Both products offer similar capabilities, but we have a longer track record in the enterprise.
