Apple is becoming more and more irrelevant
If Apple thinks it will be immune to the pressures that open source are applying to Microsoft, they are drinking far too much of their own kool-aid. Apple has no answer to Android, nor does it have any answer to the netbook phenomenon.

Actually, Apple has 1 shot and 1 shot only: in the courtroom. Apple has successfully patented multi-touch and single touch on mobile devices. If they can convince some judge to put all other mobile handset makers out of business, thus removing all consumer choice, then maybe Apple can win. Yay for consumers!
