You make it sound like
all netbooks are running something other than
Windows. From what I can see most retailers and
vendors have shifted to mainly promoting Windows XP
based netbooks. Some vendors even dropping the Linux
segment altogether.

MS was forced into extending XP for the netbook
segment. They were probably also pressured on the
price, so there's no doubt that Windows earnings is
under pressure by this.

But isn't casting this as a "rush away" from Windows a
little extreme?
