I think not rikasa. With respect, here is what Dana wrote:

To me, "most open source" means everything....enterprise level or personal desktop......So, let's see....take RedHat for instance which now devotes its RedHat enterprise line to precisely the enterprise level service that will have automatic updates. And if you want another example, SLED from Novell-SUSE is designed again with full service in mind and continuous updates.

No......I do think that you may not know open source as you should......with respect of course. Open source firms have "been there done that" with full update services for a considerable time.......

As regards updates, there is an icon on my SUSE task bar which is warning me as I type that an update for glibc is ready for me to install......I cannot believe that any Linux supervisor would not receive the exact same warning on his own screen as well. Especially if he/she was running SLED. But I'll bet Fedora and Ubuntu do it as well.
