Send Xandros your suggestions
I'm the Product Marketing Manager for the Xandros desktop. Thank you Dana and everyone else here for posting constructive feedback on Xandros and the Eee PC.

Here's some perspective on the technology. The Eee PC runs a version of Debian that Xandros customized extensively for Asus. We work hard to make it easy to use for non-techies. For instance, there's the "Eee Download"? capability on the Internet tab. With only a few clicks you can find, download and install thousands of free apps that "just work"? without having to know anything about packaging or endure large downloads. For reasons such as library dependencies, cost or time to market, the OSS apps provided are sometimes not bleeding-edge or even the newest stable versions.

I'm really curious to know what kinds of things users want to be able to do with their netbooks. What capabilities do you wish you had in a small mobile internet device? I'd appreciate your feedback. You can reach me directly at +1 613.842.3498 x483, or email me at jordan.smith@xandros.com.

Thanks!
