Government mandate
We're always better off when government tells us what to do. Removing choice eliminates the mistakes we would make and provides everyone the wisdom far greater than our own of those who have chosen to work for the government.

In fact, many of us have a tendency to insist on making mistakes even when our government masters have told us the only course showing wisdom. Such inadequacies reveal how primitive we are, unable to accept the good when it has been told us strongly.

For such people unable to accept what's good for them, it's appropriate that government make use of its police powers. The threat of jail or crippling fines can at last assure open source the attention it should receive despite the inadequate marketing. Passing a law making non-use of open source a criminal offense is the cheapest and most effective advertising.

As I've written, the most compelling slogan is: Linux, it's better than jail.

That persuades everyone briefly of every single advantage of open source, no?!
