Linux' Laptop Weakness is Wireless Support
Until Linux widely supports a variety of wireless cards - whether new, new but originally intended for Windows, or legacy - Linux laptops will be too narrow of a market to matter.

It simply doesn't matter that Linux is a wonderful operating system, with truly useful apps, if it is not convenient to take any modern laptop, install the latest Ubuntu, Fedora, or whatever, and immediately get wireless access to the Internet. And (as a general matter) you can't now.
