Shoulda waited for the Atoms
because multimedia can skip if I have too much running. But I can use krdc to remote into Windows at work and Linux at home with no skips (other than the skips the connection is giving me). And another nice thing about using a Linux machine for this is that I can full screen them and put them on different desktops, so a ctrl-alt-left or right switches the desktops.

Obviously any multimedia would have to be local (which is why I should have waited for the Atom) but as long as you aren't running anything else performance is acceptable. Also the Atom should give better battery life. The most I've gotten (I have a 900 series) on a single charge without running multimedia (which REALLY drains the battery) is about 2 1/2 hours, and for something this size you'd want something that lasts at least a work day (or close to).

Oh and also I installed Kubuntu (which requires a bit of comfort in CLI because the wireless drivers are non-existent in Ubuntu unless you roll your own). It came pre-installed with XP, so I don't know how Xandros would have fared.
