Linux filling in niches nicely.
Being free and customizable, Linux is filling in cracks and holes the way water finds the way into the every crack and hole. That is why Open Source is unstoppable. While Linux desktop may not arrive in the next decade, Linux will keep seeping trough cracks until proprietary software foundation collapses. Microsoft must continually innovate and engineer to keep ahead of the flood, but that takes time and money, and open source is unrelentless and unwavering and sooner or later everything must succumb.
