About right
If you're looking at free software as a starting point for closed source development, then stay away from GPLed code, but if your interest is in using the software or in selling support contracts, then there's no problem.

I've long thought that controversies over license terms to be severely overwrought. I figure that if someone is nice enough to provide me source code free of charge, the least I can do is to follow the license terms. If those terms are not acceptable, then one can either use someone else's code instead or write one's own.
