I don't see where open source fits
Open source is just being able to see the source which is protected by copyright and sometimes patents as well. What license one uses to authorized use of the software really is irrelevant. It might be a EULA or GPL or what ever license the copyright holder(s) decide.

Now I do see the point the cost in producing a lot of copyright content has disappeared but does that mean copyrights should change?
