Is open source a vote getter?

It's another step in the right direction

along with the rise of the Social Enterprise.

Is it a vote getter? The majority of people barely know what a computer is, and have little interest in the damage that extreme Capitalism is causing the human race.

Ignorance is also rife amongst so called "IT experts" who actually need their favourite brand name monopoly to tell when and how high to jump. It's essentially a mental form of obesity - simply reacting to the information put in front of them, but not actually creating or contributing anything.

Is it a vote getter? Amongst those of us that really care, yes it is, because it shows at long last that the government is re-engaging with the people on the ground.

If this is a success, who knows, we may even be able to tackle obesity and single parenthood.

FOSS will lead us towards much more vibrant (thus "wealthy" in the right sense) societies.
