More like a sales pitch.

In-memory databases have been around for a long time and it does not take a rocket scientist to know that accessing RAM is faster than accessing disk. Adding in a object orientation to the mix is old news too. OODBs become imparactical in that the access methods become depreciated too fast. Something like ANSI SQL is used everywhere, and Oracle's TimesTen In-Memory Database is free...
