What apology? And what's with the crazy links?
de Icaza's interview reads absolutely nothing like an apology. It does, however, read like a statement that Mono is still highly relevant because Microsoft's source code "release" is nothing more than hand waving and hot air. It benefits nobody -- and I mean nobody -- in the Open Source world. It doesn't get any clearer than that.

Granted, if you're wanting some meaningful interoperability you're probably not going to deploy on Mono, but it is his baby and he's within his rights to proclaim its relevance. And on a scale of 1 to 10, de Icaza's work does score way better than Microsoft's worthless license.

(BTW, there aren't enough hours in the day to track down links to irrelevant movies. I'm glad you like them, but if I know your links are going to be worthless in large percentage I can ignore them all in the future.)
