Please define how to "spin money".
What is the effect of DRM on the honest which causes it to be profitable? Without this information, aren't you asking for a method of reaching a goal without specifying the goal?

My view is, the goal of DRM is to restrict the ways in which media can be played in order to compel, eventually, repurchase of the same material.

You don't have to agree. But it does raise the issue of whether you would consider the way in which DRM increases profitability to be ethical.

Not an easy question, but a necessary one.
