Every good thing has a cost
The idea of going into business is to corner the market and make money with new ideas and more efficient products so customers will buy your stuff.

The problem with the GPL is that, yes, it makes all companies equal. Every time company A comes up with a new idea, company B automatically gets that idea, also - usually without paying for it.

So tell me, why should I come up with any new ideas and products if my competition is going to aquire it the next day?

Before you answer, keep in mind that I have a mortgage, insurance, daycare, and a car payment all due this month.

Now you know why some of us don't like the GPL.
