This is a call to a php script. How mainstream is that? I am both a linux and a Windows user and I use both every day. I am also upgrading to Vista as soon as it comes out here but I constantly upgrade to the latest linux versions every month or quarter here. The linux world is alive and kicking and solving most of the problems that are out there.

I wish the same could be said about Apple computers but linux is already far superior to the Macintosh and has caused most of the other unix variants, like SunOS, to be open sourced as well. Apple at least now calls itself a gizmo company instead of a computer company which is what it really is.

I am a 64 bit user and I can use both 64 bit windows variants and linux variants at will. The quiet move to 64 bit architecture was done by the open source movement over the past two years. Did any body notice? We 64 bit computer users did. The only viable alternative to windows is linux variants. The penguin has already swalled up most of the mainframe unix variants and it has quietly moved on into a position that can and will make it competitive with Vista over the next couple of years here.
