Where the problem is.

Look, I don't wnat to get into yet another, "is too, is not" argument but the fact is OpenOffice is NOT a great productivity suite when compared to MS Office or Corel Office.

Users look at it and understand that if they switch they;

A: Have a learning curve.

B: Have to re-work many (if not all) of their existing documents.

C: Can't use things like SharePoint, IRM, or real time colaboration.

D: In the end have a LESS powerful suite than they started with after spending vast amounts of time with it.


I keep saying it and the open source folks refuse to hear it, "If you want to replace MS Office you MUST build a better product"! No one wants to switch for the sake of switching.
