Yet encryption xan be open sourced ???
The idea seems right until you consider the best encrytpion programme on the planet is open source. Is not the code base, but the encryption key that secures it that really matters.

Open source programmes in my experience, get bugs fixed faster than closed source simply because of the number of eyeballs looking for problems.

Security issues are found fast, and fixed faster. Hadly a formulae for less security.

At the end of the day My experience is that the very reverse is true. Secret code maens only the hackers know about the exploit, until you have been hit, then its too late. IN open source White hats find it, and it gets fixed before the script kiddies have time to use it ... Mostly.

Secracy is the Phreakers best friend.
