Good god, my boy! You're acting like it's a crime for someone's property to be regulated when they offer their property out for hire to the public at large. All of this, the roads, the utilities and the internet, are part of the public infrastructure. They are all offering their property for use by the general public without discrimination. And that includes price.

Nevermind that they've got a guaranteed market. Nevermind that the right of way was granted to them by the government in the first place. Nevermind that residents are often required to permit a right of way when they buy a house.

Oh, and don't forget that companies like Google and Microsoft are already paying a higher toll when they lease a T1 line.

Your analogy of food to the internet doesn't work. It's not the same and neve will be.

Good luck with your "every man for himself" philosophy.
