Until Solid?
Pretty sure super-saturated is accurate for solutions that currently have more saturant than they normally hold. This does not make them solid.

An example is taking water - heating it - and adding sugar to the point where it will no longer dissolve. Raising the temperature further will allow it to dissolve - resulting in a solution that is super-saturated. Once the liquit cools - the extra saturant will precipitate back out of the water. This is a nice way to create crystals in a solution.

Perhaps the metaphor is still apt. As the SOA craze blooms like the dot-coms, perhaps they too behave like this. All of the hot air and all of the far reaching promises will eventually fall out of the solution once the mania cools.
