Time investment for a high quality podcast exceeded my expectations
I've scripted many an interactive marketing demo and directed the voiceover recording and production, so I had some idea of what I was getting into when recording my first podcasts. I was still surprised at how long it takes.

My first two podcasts, finished, were about 4 minutes each. It took about four hours to do the second one.

That's taking an article I had written for print, converting it to a script, recording it, editing the WAV, adding a music bed, converting down to MP3, uploading, adding the link to the blog, and testing.

It's admittedly cool to have the podcasts up on practicalmarketingadvisory.com, although I have no feedback from visitors as to whether they agree.

I am not sure we will continue posting podcasts, unless visitors request it. I'm not willing to accept lower quality in return for a smaller time investment.
