..Wow
I really hope he did, if not then this is way out of line. I can understand a kid going around and doing this, but posting information like that on a well known blog is going to the extreme. I am all for securing and trying to help people ignorant to the facts, but this is a lot of money on the line.

I work in the IT field and have been doing it for a few years now. I don't know about you George, but things don't just change with a snap of the finger. Meetings are held, corporate decides, buying has to be approved. I could tell a company until I am blue in the face that someone will hack us because were using WEP, but it doesn't matter. Unless you can manage to convince a bunch of monkeys in suits that your idea will stop a potential risk, then theres nothing you can do.

In my opinion its not right to go post this information, though anyone could get it, its now done for them. You say you wouldn't scan or crack the network, but I am sure plenty of people will who don't care. If you did actually contact the places (which I am sure you didn't because its hard to speak with the big people in those places) then well done, but still shouldn't be posted. And if you didn't then way to go for being a dumb ass, if something happened in the next month, you my friend should be to blame.
