Games, DRM, and Electronic Arts
Ah yes. Games and their copy protection which heralds far worse things for the user than most. Yet, if I want to move my game over to a new PC because the old one died, I usually can do this without too much of a problem. Try moving DRMed content, like trying to recover songs off of an iPod after a computer crashed. Wow, what a pain that is.

Yet then again, I have spent many nights working on my computer trying to get two specific games to play. And after being burned not once, but twice by Electronics Arts, I think I need to not buy any more of their products ever again. Both Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 2142 refuse to work on my current PC which meets and handily exceeds the specifications to play the game. Given the option, I would say that Game companies have been guilty of screwing over the customer for years, but none so openly as Electronic Arts.
