BT is almost always faster than FTP when there are more people
For any given bandwidth, BT is always better than FTP when there is one solid seed. If you're the only client, the two protocols should be roughly the same speed but BT will support resume better than FTP. If there are more users than bandwidth, FTP is worthless and BT shines.
