Right on George!
That PBS guy is a typical "journalist". Like most journalists, he pops off with great abandon on topics he has little or no knowledge about. The errors in that column are indicitive of someone who's read the dictionary, but doesn't really understand what the words mean because he's never really worked with or understood the underlying technology.

Of course, he's always been a dolt, so he continues in his own great tradition.

(nt)Anything that does away with the need for NAT is a *good thing*  toadlife | 11/06/06
Why?  nucrash | 11/06/06
There are companies that own Class A blocks who use NAT  georgeou | 11/06/06
NAT  rkuhn040172@... | 11/06/06
What should it tell us George?  toadlife | 11/06/06

I can see both sides  georgeou | 11/06/06
Yes.  toadlife | 11/06/06
Why would IPv6 get rid of NAT?  lamp299 | 11/07/06
You and your tinfoil hat can continue to use NAT all you want  toadlife | 11/07/06
So what is IPv6 to IPv4 tunneling?  georgeou | 11/07/06
IPv6 will be WORSE than NAT  georgeou | 11/08/06
Not the point  toadlife | 11/08/06

thanks for making my argument  toadlife | 11/09/06
