Bluray might fail
But early in the article, you compare wattage of the three systems, but later you say "There's no question of technological superiority with Sony's PS3".... more power == more power. My computer has a powerful video card (6800 ultra overclocked) and an AMD FX 53 64bit, and it requires more power than the ps3 (currently have a 550 W PSU). I bought it two years ago now, and the thing still plays the latest games beautifully, through many CPU and GPU releases. I expect Sony's PS3 to be kicking for a long long time, as Sony's PS2 is still. There's no argument there.

However, I won't be getting a PS3 at launch (even if it weren't my decision apparently), but I definitely won't be upgrading my movie collection to Bluray, but I'm sure if some people still own only VHS, they may. I can't imaging justifying upgrading a 50+ DVD collection to Bluray or HD-DVD for that matter.
