This post will pull the nuts out of the trees, so get ready.

It's a little ironic that you don't point out any examples in your own organization -- the recent spate of Cnet articles that have spun negatively on news about Microsoft (my favorite, the video review of IE7 that said that tabs were the "biggest" feature in IE7) show that, somehow, it's good business to be biased (or, at least, poorly edited).

I don't get why Microsoft PR doesn't respond more aggressively to these stories. Maybe they should pull a Google and freeze the media out for a year. That seemed to work wonders for them -- with one company anyway...
