Contrary to your claims to "call out companies" when they do
wrong, you don't have a single blog entry about Microsoft's
intrusive WGA program.

But if Apple checks whether there are updated widgets without
permission, of course you blog about it. As if this is anything in
comparison to what Microsoft did. No one has posted anything
to show that any information is sent to Apple.

A reasonable comparison would be if Firefox or another app
checked for updates on a daily basis without permission.
Comparing it to WGA is completely blowing it out of proportion.

Should Apple have a checkbox for people to choose whether this
should happen? Absolutely. But don't pretend this is anything
like WGA.
