Thanks to George Ou for the important IE6 security advisory.

While waiting for a patch, Windows users may want to consider using alternate browsers, e.g., Firefox.

Firefox is free and can be found and installed from here:

http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/

Another option would be to consider installing VMWare Player and running your internet session in a sandbox with a Ubuntu Linux Virtual Machine (VM).

VMWare Player can run pre-built guest VMs including Ubuntu, SuSE, RedHat.

VMWare Player is free and can be found and installed from here:
