Memory footprint
Since Mr. Ou has to mention his wrong data again I'll publish my "more reliable" data again!
The best test is to run OpenOffice and MS Office in wine under Linux to find out the true memory footprint:

MSWord in wine: 2'504'036kb
OOwriter in wine: 546'992kb

So who's the pig now? It seems to me that a lot of "invisible" stuff is preloaded in Windows. It is not enough to just measure the size of winword.exe in the memory.
