I agree with everything you said. Its an insult to IT folks to hear such rubbish. I especially like the part about "If one server breaks the others keep working" - as if the mainframe has a single point of failure (it doesn't). I wonder how many of PT Barnum's people have made it up the ladder in IT organizations - and are swayed by this commercial.
