Why not go completely to the cloud?
Intuit should take their products completely to the cloud. Then users could access them from any device (smartphone, PC, tablet, eReader, etc.) running any OS (Windows, OS X, Ubuntu, etc.).

With HTML5 rapidly advancing in modern web browsers (desktop & smartphone), Intuit could even deliver web apps that look & perform like desktop apps.
