Not what I'm seeing
Not sure where this guy thinks people are buying PCs AHEAD of Windows 7 release. Most people that I know that are looking or have been looking for PCs are INDEED waiting for Windows 7. Why would you go through the trouble of upgrading when you can get the system pre-installed unless you need the system immediately?

Good to Apple grow, puts more pressure on vendors to create better stuff. But at the same time I really doubt that Macs are going to continue at this clip.

1) The economy
2) Windows 7. If Walt Mossberg likes it it can't be that bad

Plus think about it. Apple's fairly small gains have been against the backdrop of Vista, perhaps Microsoft's biggest OS failure in terms of perception at least ever. Windows 7 is a MUCH stronger contender. Those PC converts are going to be harder to come by.

I guess we'll see how recession proof Apple is with Macs but Windows 7 is going to have some negative impact on Macs, just how much is the question.

Any who, I am Windows 7 fan boy. I'm simply impressed with it. It's fast, full of features, plays games, works with just about any hardware out of the box even with Vista drivers. I've bought $1000 of software to much on my 7 systems and so far everything is just working wonderfully. I've got Blu Ray setup on my main rig and soon I'll have my CableCard tuner and will be moving away from the Time Warner's DVR if my testing goes well.

Windows 7 just does everything and well.
